Queen Quet & De Gullah Cunneckshun’s “Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy World Tour” Makes Its Way Through South Carolina

Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) is a native of historic St. Helena Island, SC. Queen Quet who became the first Gullah/Geechee to ever speak before the United Nations on behalf of Gullah/Geechees in Geneva, Swittzerland has not stopped taking the Gullah/Geechee story internationally since 1999. The journey has led to Queen Quet traveling with her Gullah/Geechee histo-musical presentation troupe, “De Gullah Cunneckshun” to several countries and states on “De Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy World Tour.” Tour stops for “Black History/African Heritage Month” brought Queen Quet from climate change and cultural heritage talks in the northeast back to her home state of South Carolina in order “fa bring de lunin ta de chillun.”
