4th Annual Arkhaios Film Festival

A Rich Tapestry of World Cultures

The Coastal Discovery Museum brings the event to Hilton Head Island SC

October 20-22, 2016

Hilton Head Island — The Arkhaios Film Festival is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival will take place at Coligny Theatre on Hilton Head Island SC, USA on October 20-22, 2016. Tickets for the event are available online at www.coastaldiscovery.org or by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223. Pricing is $20 for a 3-day pass to the films, $10 per day pass, or $5 per film.

The Coastal Discovery Museum is dedicated to making a difference in the way people think about and interact with the environment, history, culture, and art. In collaboration with the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology (SCIAA) at the University of South Carolina, we are proud to bring the Arkhaios Film Festival to Hilton Head Island.

The Film Registration period for the 2016 Arkhaios Film Festival is now closed. Filmmakers from all over the world have registered their films. Here is a sample of the topics submitted, covering a rich tapestry of World Cultures:

The Screening Committee is now ready to screen all registered films to determine the Official Selection which will be announced at the end of August and presented at the Festival.

The Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival is an educational event showcasing the discovery of past cultures gained from archaeological research and illustrated by documentary films.
