Penn Center to host Climate Change Town

Happening at Penn Center

The South Carolina Aquarium is partnering with the Medical University of South Carolina, South Carolina Educational Television, Allen University and the U.S. Department of Energy to host a community Town Hall about climate change. Participants will be introduced to climate change through the film “Climate Change: A Global Reality,” after which, a group of local experts will conduct a discussion/Q & A regarding the impacts of climate change in Beaufort County and how the community and individuals can best prepare for rising sea levels.


The event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on May 14 at the Frissell Community House on the campus of  Penn Center, 16 Penn Center Circle West, St. Helena Island.
