Fort’s History to Come Alive at Dinner

The evening begins Tuesday, September 29, at 6 p.m. at the renowned Old Fort Pub with a three-course, fixed price meal. During dinner, through the Heritage Library’s historical magic, the fort’s Civil War commander, Major Gen. Ormsby Mitchel, will speak to all present about his defense of the headquarters of the Federal Department of the South. And then everyone goes next door for a guided tour of the 1862 fort itself.

Can’t make it? You’ll have more chances the following Tuesday, October 6, or on Tuesday, October 20, when the dinner, talk and tour will happen again.

Reserve by 5 p.m. the Monday before the dinner by calling 843-681-2386. The full evening is $40 per person ($20 for a child under 12) plus taxes and gratuity.  For menu details and other information please click on Old Fort Pub Menu.
