You can trace your family history through newspapers

For someone researching genealogy, newspapers offer much more than just obituaries. A Heritage Library class will show you how.

The class, presented by Carol Clemens, takes place March 18, 1:30-3:30 p.m. It will provide how to locate relevant newspapers and search them effectively, options on obtaining copies of articles, tips on following the clues found in newspapers and ways to flesh out your family history.

This class is appropriate for those with basic computer skills and genealogists of all levels. The fee is $15; $10 for Heritage Library members.  Class size is limited so reservations are required.  Call 843-686-6560 to register.

The Heritage Library (http://www.heritagelib.org/) is a nonprofit history and ancestry research center with low-fee services open to the public at 852 William Hilton Parkway (second floor; parking and entrance in back).
