Learn about women who shaped Hilton Head

Their lives were defined by plantation life, isolation and war, but strong women on Hilton Head dealt with the challenges by influencing the island’s development, its lifestyles and ultimately its history from the nation’s founding to modern times.  You can learn more in a 90-minute presentation at the Heritage Library.

The March 17 class, starting at 10:30 a.m., is just $5 per person. Because seating is limited, reservations are required. Call 843-686-6560.

The Heritage Library (http://www.heritagelib.org/) is a nonprofit history and ancestry research center with low-fee services open to the public at 852 William Hilton Parkway (second floor; parking and entrance in back).
