Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) is on the “Gullah/Geechee Land & Legacy World Tour.”  Today, she is one of the delegates at the United Nations for the first “World Conference of Indigenous People.”  Queen Quet not only represents the Gullah/Geechees as their elected leader and spokesperson, she is also a permanent representative at the United Nations for the International Human Rights Association for American Minorities (IHRAAM)” which is an NGO with consultative status at the United Nations.

Since 1999, when Queen Quet who was then “Marquetta L. Goodwine” became the first Gullah/Geechee person to ever speak before the United Nations on behalf of her people, she has made numerous trips to this international arena and has been a part of forums for indigenous and minority issues.  She has also been an active part of the work being done to combat climate change issues.  The…
