Shanklin School Historic Marker Dedication Sept. 18th at 10 am on Shanklin Rd.
Lecture by Anne Christensen Pollitzer about Shanklin School – with vintage slides Sept. 18th at Noon, Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club

The Beaufort County Historical Society continues our collaborative efforts as we partner with Beaufort County Government at the Dedication of the Shanklin School Historical Marker, Sept. 18th at 10 am on Shanklin Rd (off Hwy 21 past the MCAS Beaufort).

The Dedication Ceremony will be followed by light refreshments. The event will then adjourn to the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club for the Beaufort County Historical Society meeting at noon by Anne Christensen Pollitzer with a complete talk including vintage slides on the founding and history of the Shanklin School.

Pollitzer’s talk will begin at noon and is free and open to the public. There is an optional light lunch catered by Debbi Covington at 11:30 for $10. RSVP, please, by 4 PM Sept. 14 to Linda Hoffman at hoffmaks@earthlink.net
