Angels Preservation Project

by

University Products, an archival supplies company, is proud to be partnering with the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) and the Library of Congress to help establish a yearly Preservation Angel Project. The first recipient will be announced at the 2015 Midwinter American Library Association meeting in Chicago. The goal of the Preservation Angel Project is to help a local organization or institution with an important collection that either has never been properly housed or needs to be re-housed in the proper boxes and enclosures. University Products will donate all of the materials needed for the project and, working with the recipient and the local community, bring visibility to the collection and the importance of preservation with the help of the local media. The Preservation Angel Project’s long-term goal is to bring awareness and support of properly preserving local historical materials and treasures.
