Starr on Daufuskie’s History

by

From the Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation:

The Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation would like to invite all islanders to hear Rebecca Starr speak at Marshside Mama’s on Wednesday, May 7 at 4:30PM. Ms. Starr was responsible for filling out the application to put Daufuskie on the National Register of Historic Places. She met and worked with Billie Burn on the island in the early 1980’s. She also wrote her master’s thesis on the history of Daufuskie from 1520-1830. She is very excited to share her knowledge of Daufuskie with us. There will be no charge for this event. If you wish to stay for dinner afterwards, please make your own arrangements with Marshside Mama’s at 843-785-4755.
