HISTORIC PORT ROYAL FOUNDATION Presents the first lecture of the 2012-2013 Series 

Local Author Thomas D. Wilson The Oglethorpe Plan: Enlightenment Design in Savannah and Beyond


For an enlightening talk and enriching historical discovery join the Historic Port Royal Foundation for the first lecture of our 2012 – 2013 series.

Planner and author Thomas D. Wilson will discuss his book about Oglethorpe’s plan for the Georgia Colony and the new model colony’s relations with South Carolina during the 1730s and 1740s. Learn about the vital role that our area played in the founding of Savannah. Mr. Wilson’s book will be available for purchase, and he will be happy to sign it after the lecture.
