CCI Notes are online and FREE!

February 26, 2010

Our neighbor to the north, the Canadian Conservation Institute, has published many guides to the care of specific cultural heritage materials on the web.  Electronic copies of CCI Notes in English and French are now available FREE to everyone on the CCI Web site.

CCI Notes deal with topics of interest to those who care for heritage objects and collections. Intended for a broad audience, CCI Notes offer practical advice about issues and questions related to the care, handling, and storage of heritage objects.  The scope of offerrings is broad, such as Care of Machinery Artifacts Displayed or Stored Outside (1993);  Know Your Paintings-Structure, Materials, and Aspects of Deterioration (2002); and N2/6 Fire Protection Issues for Historic Buildings.
